Bar & Waiting Staff (Can be Part time)

Clean & tidy with a passion for service. This is not for everyone but very rewarding for those can do it well, minimum age 15 years

Kitchen Porter (Part Time)

Basic cleaning and washing up duties, minimum age 16 years.

Chef Assistant / Commis Chef

We are looking for a new team member to assist the chef on service, prepare fresh food daily.
This position would suit an inexperienced chef / cook with the desire to build their skills.
Ideally the candidate will have formal qualifications in catering to NVQ Level 2/3, however for the right person training could be given.
Our menu changes many times every week cooking local seasonal food. We follow classic French cooking methodology but take our influences from all over the world.
Your job will consist of preparation of starters & desserts, including making ice creams, soufflé, preparation of filled baguettes and providing dressed plates for the chef.

 

The Company

A destination, independent, family run country pub in a very small village halfway between Basingstoke and Alton on the A339. A daily changing menu, utilising local produce in a modern British style and using classic French methods. The menus are created by the head & Sous chef but there is still plenty of room to be creative and influence what is served. The pub is busy and open for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Sunday (Closed Sunday evening and Monday).
