From about 40% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc, and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, lightly oaked. Scents of really ripe red berries, with hints of vanilla, clove and even chocolate. Surprisingly fat and rich for a wine at this price. Raspberry and ripe redcurrant palate backed by soft but present tannins. Mildly spicy finish.

About 55% Carignan, with 30% Grenache and 15 % Mourvèdre, made with minimal sulphur and aged in old barrels – a mile away from supermarket Corbières, Attractively mature with the oak thoroughly integrated. A fleshy, well-textured mid palate of    hedgerow fruits, very ripe but with good freshness for balance.
